My Story
CONNECTING MY TWO BIG PASSIONS: YOGA AND TRAVEL
With time, I started falling more and more in love with the practice, philosophy and lifestyle of Yoga. After living in California, Hawaii, Bali and Australia, I decided to move to Portugal in 2016, to start a new life that was more aligned with what I wanted for myself. I took my first 200hr Teacher Training Course in 2018 in Lisbon and a secondary 300hr Training in India in 2020, a Sound Healing Course with bowls in Nepal and an Introduction to Buddhism Meditation Course in Northern India.
That set me started in my beautiful journey teaching and sharing Yoga. In the meanwhile I also completed in 2023 a Masters Degree in Cinematography at the University Lusófona, Lisbon, Portugal.
People describe me as a creative soul of many talents, apart from being a passionate yogini and an enthusiastic cinematographer, I also lead beautifully Sound Journeys with bowls, experience l include in my retreats. I am a warm and bubbly person, and I always try to rise the vibes of any room I am in with a smile. I am caring, compassionate and passionate about all the things I put my heart into. I think these characteristics are essential to thrive as Yoga teacher, and also as a human being ;)
I have recently decided to start my studies in Osteopathy as all things related to the human body, mind and emotions fascinate me. And when I am not studying (one more of my passions) you can find me teaching Yoga at various places in Ericeira and Lisbon.
The Beginning
When I was at the age of 17 years old I had my first contact with Yoga at the old gym in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, named Academia da Praia, was a teacher full of tattoos, very thin and tiny guy, the room was full of people and I felt something deep in my body and mind. For the first time of my life I was able to focus on my breath, inhaling and exhaling deep and slow, challenging myself with the new postures. I was very anxious, as many of the teenagers are and finally for the first time I was experiencing to breathe correctly and observe myself, I felt relaxed, calm and inner peace.
From: Fired To: New Life Opportunity
In Brazil I used to work as a seller-woman, wellness marketing/receptionist, publicity trainee in a tv company in Rio, Marketing: selling spaces in a train company for clients to promote their business. I was fired by this last company in Rio and I saw as a big opportunity to finally follow my heart. The money that I received from the company after being fired, I decided to invest on my exchange program, applying for an English school in California, LA. I lived 3 years and half, was enough tome to improved my English as a student visa. During this time I started to travel to the best surf and beach spots around the world, with my ex-boyfriend, he was a professional surfer. The goal was: we should film and edit him surfing the perfect barrels around Bali, Mentawaii, Costa Rica, California, Marroco, Panama, Lanzarote island, to promote his sponsor brand. This helped me to be motivated to film and learn film edition. We used to work as a team to promote him as a freestyle surfer to make a good films and photo contents. Was the beginning of social media (2011 to 2015).
Trying To Figure Out My Passion
To be able to pay for my costs while I was traveling, I experienced new types of work as a babysitter, waitress, dog walker, cleaner, host in a art gallery, filmmaker, film editor, event promoter, translator, English teacher, model, marketing assistant, bartender, wash dishes, after at all I was not happy, I still looking for something that I could be able to feel fulfilled my soul and find out my life purpose.
New Chapter: Moving To Portugal
I arrived in Portugal in Oct 11th of 2016, the plan was stopping to visit a friend and after fly to AUS, but the plan totally changed. I decided to stay, apply for the Visa student, work and live in Portugal. New life, after few years flying around, I created roots. Was not easy, up and down, until I figure out that I had to focus on myself. Stop in a place to expand what I was asked for: focus on my career and family.
I decided to make a dream list, so the first one was learning how to plant, put my hands in the soil and learn as much as I could, so I took a permaculture course in Sintra, in 2017. Here I started to open my eyes and connect a little more with myself. After long years, inspired by Yoga I took my first teacher training in Hatha yoga (200hs on Feb/2018) in Lisbon, Portugal, at the same time I started my Master-Degree in Cinematography, Lusófona University in Lisbon.
Her travel video "What is your dream?" for the National Geographic Exodus Aveiro Festival 2017 won the "most voted" award on social media. The same year, she developed an adventure project, traveling from Portugal to Morocco with influencer and actress Joana Duarte, sponsored by Hyundai.
A Ticket To India: Diving Into The Yoga Philosophy And Culture
I love studying and I decided to go deep in the Yoga path. The year was 2019, my birthday would be in few months, November, so I decided to give me a gift: A ticket to India, 4 months traveling with my backpack south and north to learn, improve, volunteer in a ashram, experience the real taste, colours, sounds, smell and teachings of India.
So the first step would be learning how to meditate, how to keep in silence during 10 days? Introduction to Buddhism Meditation, Dharamshala, India (Nov 7th - 17th of 2019) Teachers: Glens Vensson and Felipe. I remember when I told my father about this present to myself, he made a joke telling me that I would struggle being in silence so long and he though I would run away to not be able to talk. But you know what? I completed the 10 days in silence and I was wondering to stay longer, because was so nice for the first time had this experience to discipline myself to be able to quiet and listen all surround me. Was an amazing experience, was not Vipassana.

My Background
When I was the age around 6 to 7 years old, my father introduced me a camera. In every trip he used to carry this big camera and film me and my sister with our relatives and friends. And I remember showing up in front of the camera talking and smiling very natural, it looks like that was part of me. I wasn't feeling shy, I was very confident in front of the camera. And curious at the same time to understand how this equipment could be able to create images of me and my family.
I was born in Rio de Janeiro. After my parents divorced, me, my sister and mom moved to Brasilia, the capital of Brazil, where the family of my mom live. Every time when my father visited us I remember he was bringing gifts, and one of the presents I really loved: was a speaker and record voice, so I used to play as a journalist, interviewing every one in my family or pretending that I was narrating a story. My mom used to teach us how to use the hands playing with clay, she used to sit us on the ground and read for us the newspaper, I used to be very interested about travelling and trying to understand the politics and economy of the countries. When I turned 10 years old, me and my sister moved to Rio, to live with my father. When I turned 12 years old, my father gave us a hand cam, that was amazing. I remember I loved developing my own film projects, I was always holding a camera, filming my family, playing around with cousins, friends, pretending to be like actress, was so much fun and the best creative moments! I was always art directing, creating the storytellings and having fun watching later.
